Master Exhibitor – 500 points
Members must be in good standing to accumulate points. If a membership is lapsed, for more than 60 days, then the points will be forfeited. Points will be recorded per variety. The varieties will be those which have been admitted into the APA or the ABA. When new varieties are accepted into the Standard, they will then be added to the recorded information. If a variety is not listed in the Standards, then points will be recorded under Any Other Variety (AOV).
BV (Best of Variety) – 1 point for every Araucana exhibited within that variety
RV (Reserve of Variety) – 1 point for every Araucana exhibited within that variety less one
BB (Best of Breed) – 1 point for every Araucana exhibited.
RB (Reserve of Breed) – 1 point for every Araucana exhibited less one.
Best of Class – 1 points for every 5 birds in class added to the BB points
Reserve of Class – 1 point for every 10 birds in class added to the BB points
Best of Show – 1 points for every 5 birds in show added to the BB and Best of Class points
Reserve of Show – 1 point for every 10 birds in show added to the BB and Best of Class points
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION
500 birds in a show with 30 in the class and 10 Araucana in show; 5 Black, 3 Silver Duckwing, 2 Golden Duckwing.
Black Cockerel wins BV, BB, Best of Class total points awarded are 21
Silver Duckwing hen wins BV total points awarded 3
Golden Duckwing hen wins BV, BB, Best of Class and Reserve of Show total points 68
The larger the show, the greater number of points that can be awarded.
Using the calculator you can input the information from a show and it will output the ACA Exhibition Points attributed to the indicated winning bird variety and the title(s) that were won. Be sure to add all Araucana color varieties and associated number of birds in the show for accurate points calculations. The default values are that of the example calculation above.
