2014 ACA NATIONAL MEET
The 2014 Araucana Club of America was in conjunction with the APA 2014 National Poultry Show in Columbus Ohio, November 7, 8, 9, 2014. We had 5 exhibitors with a total of 13 birds for the Large Fowl AOSB division and Bantam AOCCL division together. There were just over 9700 birds exhibited and that did not count the turkeys, geese, ducks, and pea fowl in the other barn.
The exhibitors were:
Cindy and Rob Smith with 4 Black Bantam hens and 1 White Bantam hen.
Rob Smith Junior Exhibitor with 2 Black Bantam hens
Jan Burke with 1 mottled Bantam hen, 1 black Large Fowl Black Hen, and 1 Large Fowl Black Cock.
Kellye Shue with 1 Black Large Fowl Pullet and 1 Black Large Fowl Cock.
Lanae Cash with 1 Golden Duckwing Large Fowl Pullet.
The ACA awarded cash prizes along with rosettes for the various wins and we also we had a judge award a few special contests at the show and the winners received gorgeous rosettes and cash for each special Contest win.
The Cash prize awards were as follows:

Best of Variety Lf and Bantam each – $15
Best Pea Comb on a male – $25

Jan Burke’s LF Black Cock won BB and was the ACA National Champion Large Fowl and her LF Black Hen was RB and Reserve ACA National Champion Large Fowl with a total $115 in cash awarded
Cynthia and Rob Smith’s Bantam Black Hen was BB and the ABA/ACA National Champion Araucana Bantam with another Bantam Black Hen being RB and ABA/ACA National Champion Araucana Bantam and their Bantam White hen was BV, with a total $140.00 in cash awarded.
Rob Smith Junior Exhibitor won BB and Junior ABA/ACA National Champion Araucana with his Black Bantam Hen, with a total $75 in cash awarded.
Lanae Cash’s Golden Duckwing Pullet was BV, with a total $15 in cash awarded.

Missouri State Poultry Association Show – Double Show

Exhibitor Lisa Helms won BB in first show with her Black Cock Apollo and RB with her Black Hen Freya. In the Second show she won Reserve AOSB, and BB with her Black Hen Freya and RB with her Black Cock Apollo.
